Once the project is completed, our drafting and estimating department will have their own private office.  Their job is very detailed oriented and they certainly need a quiet workspace.  Central City Millworks will gain more space to better service walk-in customers.  The additional space for Central City Millworks is really important because we seem to have walk-in customers for wood flooring, doors, windows, etc. on a daily basis.  Our stockroom will also benefit from the expansion.  Our inventory manager, Isaias Lopez, will be better able to optimize his stockroom inventory, thus creating an efficient method of inventory reporting.

We are very excited about the expansion of our New Orleans construction and millwork offices.  Please feel free to stop by and take a look!

Watching the slideshows

Today we had our annual Hal Collums Construction and Central City Millworks Christmas Party and it was more fun this year than ever.

We started off with lunch catered by Felipe’s – which is a favorite spot among our staff.  Once we ate all of the Quesadillas we could we moved on to the entertainment.

We had a slideshow of pictures from all of the events of the past year as well as some amusing online videos from the website JibJab.com featuring the whole staff.  Next came the part everyone was anxiously waiting for – Secret Santa!

Our staff has a great time planning their surprise gifts for everyone.  The weeks of sneaking around – hiding little treats here and there and trying to figure out who is your Santa are really fun.  So finally at the party all was revealed.

We also received company sweatshirts with our names embroidered on the front.  Now we can stay cozy warm in the winter while showing off our HCC/CCM pride!

After the office party we had a mill shop party for all the employees.  There was pizza, music and of course presents!  Everyone had a great time and now Christmas has really begun!
